SUZI thongs are made top to bottom from Tanboocel™ fibres blended with a small amount of Lycra, which is required to make the fabric stretch.

Tanboocel™ fabric is a sustainably sourced, biodegradable material made from bamboo fibers. FSC®, OEKO-TEX®, and GRS-certified, Tanboocel™ is produced through a closed-loop process, minimizing environmental impact by recycling water and chemicals.

While many think cotton is the gold standard for sustainability, our Tanboocel™ fabric actually rivals cotton in eco-friendliness. Not only is it kinder to the planet, it's also more luxurious to wear; Tanboocel™ is softer than cotton, better at breathing and wicking moisture, naturally anti-microbial and odor resistant, and better at resisting wear and tear.

All of the fabric we use at SUZI is FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified, meaning it’s sourced from responsibly managed forests that meet the highest environmental and social standards. FSC® certification ensures that our bamboo is grown and harvested in ways that protect biodiversity, support local communities, and promote sustainable forestry for future generations.

All of our fabrics are Standard 100 OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning they’ve been tested for over 100 harmful substances to ensure they are safe for your skin and health. This certification guarantees that every material used in our thongs meets the highest standards for safety, so you can feel confident wearing our products knowing they’re free from toxic chemicals and gentle on your body.

All of our fabrics are GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified. GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. It ensures that the materials used are recycled and processed sustainably.

All of our fabric is produced in an SA8000 certified facility, a globally recognized standard for social accountability in the workplace. It ensures fair treatment of workers, covering essential aspects like health and safety, fair wages, and working hours. The factory that manufactures our underwear follows these same rigorous standards.

Traditional underwear uses gussets to add breathability and moisture management—but with SUZI thongs, that's built into the entire design. Our thongs are made entirely from breathable, moisture-wicking fabric, so for us, the gusset is obsolete.

At SUZI, we do not use elastic bands in our seam construction as most brands do. There are a few reasons why:

1. Elastic bands dig into your hips and cause discomfort.
2. Elastic bands are made from plastic, so eliminating the use of them makes our thongs even more eco-friendly.
3. Elastic bands tend to wear out quickly, and since SUZI thongs are made to last, we feel it's best not to use them.

Your first return is FREE. You must return your unworn item/s within 30 days of your purchase in their original packaging. All consecutive returns require the customer to pay shipping.
